Miller-Valentine Group Earns 2020 Military Friendly® Employer Designation
For the eighth year in a row, Miller-Valentine Group has earned the prestigious Military Friendly® Employer designation. The company was one of only 290 employers across the United States to make the list for 2020.
Administered by VIQTORY, the Military Friendly list sets the standard for organizations that provide the best opportunities for veterans and their spouses. It is a third-party confirmation of MVG’s dedication to supporting members of the military, veterans and their families.

We believe that hiring from the military community provides a strategic competitive advantage,” said Elizabeth Mangan, CEO. “Our veterans are second to none when it comes to the value they place on teamwork and results. It is our privilege to work with those who have made service to our country a priority.”
Specific actions taken by MVG include the dedication of 20 percent of its recruiting resources to military community outreach. Open opportunities are posted on military job boards, and the company is a frequent attendee of military career fairs. Veterans and members of the military are targeted for all levels of jobs within the organization, particularly accounting, construction, human resources, and information technology.
MVG’s support doesn’t end with recruitment; the company also has policies in place to promote retention of veterans and members of the military after they are hired. For example, the company protects the employment status of members of the U.S. Armed Forces Reserve or National Guard who are absent from work due to service. MVG also offers continuation of pay and benefits to employees who are deployed. And veterans receive a paid holiday on Veterans Day as a sign of appreciation for their service to the country.
As the property manager for the Properties at Wright Field, which is home to more than 1,300 military and civilian service members and their families, the company also works closely with Wright Patterson Air Force Base to support residents in meaningful ways. MVG participates in such activities as sending care packages to troops during the holiday season and raising funds for the Wounded Warrior Project®.
