Climate Controlled Self-Storage
Miller-Valentine Group and Coastal Storage Group have completed over 465,000 SF of Climate Controlled Self-Storage facilities in the last two years, offering customers peace of mind that the items they want to preserve will remain in good condition despite the heat, cold, or humidity. According to storage.com, extreme heat (over 90 degrees) can melt and warp important items like vinyl records, CDs, and DVDs. It can also cause wood furniture to expand and crack. Extreme cold (under 32 degrees) puts your belongings at risk of freezing. If any of your items retain moisture, they are liable to contract, expand, and crack in cold temperatures. Extreme humidity can turn an ordinary storage unit into a breeding ground for mold, mildew, bacteria, and unwanted small pests.
Miller-Valentine Construction has designed and built over 3,500 units ranging from 5’x5′ to 10’x30′ in five locations. Contact Steve Koewler to learn more about our development/construction capabilities, or visit https://mvg.com/building_type/climate-controlled-storage/
