Sisters of the Precious Blood
Miller-Valentine Construction was the Design Build Contractor on the Salem Heights Renovation project for the Sisters of the Precious Blood. The existing 99,000 SF facility, spread out over five wings off a central rotunda with 3-4 floors each, has served as the Motherhouse for retired Sisters from the Order since the late 1920s. This interior renovation project converts approximately 92 dormitory style units to 51 full apartment units with a mix of efficiency, one and two-bedroom layouts.
Associated renovations were made to the common areas, including:
- Up-to-Date Meeting Rooms
- Exercise Room
- Therapy Room
- Nurse’s Office
- Administrative Offices
- Temperature and light-controlled Archive Room
The Sisters continue to occupy the facility throughout the renovations, requiring the project be divided into four phases.
